EOI Dental Assistant - Trainee

Apprenticeship Careers Australia (ACA) is looking for a motivated individual to commence a Traineeship in Dental Assisting, and work towards completing a Certificate III in the relevant Industry. No experience necessary!

Key Duties:

• Greeting patients and introducing them to their dentist
• Preparing patients for dental work and providing excellent care
• Preparing the treatment room, dental equipment and instruments
• Helping with infection control by sterilizing and disinfecting instruments, setting up instrument trays, preparing materials, and assisting with dental procedures
• Assisting dental hygienists with procedures when necessary
• Recording treatment information in patient records
• Exposing dental x-rays from dental diagnostics and caring for dental x-ray equipment
• Giving patients information on dental hygiene, oral health care, and plaque control programs
• Ordering dental supplies and maintaining dental equipment inventory

Candidate Requirements:

• Must be Australian or New Zealand Citizen or Permanent Resident
• Competent computer literacy and typing skills
• Keenness for office administration and willing to learn new skills
• Ability to prioritise requirements
• High-level written and oral communication skills.
