School Based Dental Assisting Traineeship

Here at Apprenticeship Careers Australia (ACA) we currently have an exciting opportunity for High School Students currently in Year 10 looking to start their career through a School Based Traineeship in Certificate III in Dental Assisting, located in East Brisbane & hosted by Smileologie. 

Our School Based Traineeship Program offers a unique blend of on-the-job training, mentorship, and classroom learning. As a trainee, you will work alongside experienced professionals, gaining practical experience and developing valuable industry skills. This program is perfect for High School Applicants who are looking to kick start their career while continuing their studies at school!

Duties:

• Chairside assisting during dental procedures
•  Preparing rooms, materials, and imaging for appointments
• Sterilizing dental instruments and equipment
• Assisting with onsite lab tasks
• Unpacking and organizing stock
• Data entry for lab and clinical patient notes
• Performing cleaning and infection control tasks to maintain a safe environment
  
   

Skills and responsibilities:

• Must be currently in Year 10
• Applicants will attend 1 day on the job, 1 day at an RTO and 3 days at school.
• Ability to work in a team environment
• Ability to follow & adhere to policies and procedures 
• A motivated and enthusiastic high school student
• Interest in the healthcare or dental field
• Have a strong work ethic and motivated to learn
• Passionate for field & result driven
